How it works
Forwarding first. Everything else when you're ready.
@CITYBOYMAIL.COM
Claim the name
Check what's still open. Short names and status words are scarce and priced accordingly; most names are included with a free account.
Point it somewhere
Tell us which inbox you already read. Mail sent to your CityBoy name lands there. Nothing to install, nothing to migrate, no new app to learn.
Start handing it out
Give it to people first — the contacts who type your address by hand. Move accounts and services over gradually, at your own pace.
Upgrade when you want to send
Forwarding receives. A CITYBOY+ mailbox also sends — IMAP, SMTP and webmail, so replies come from your name instead of your old address.
Forwarding or a real mailbox
Free — forwarding
Your CityBoy name receives mail and passes it straight to the inbox you already use. You reply from your existing address.
- Receives mail at your name
- Delivers to Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, anywhere
- Nothing to migrate
- Change the destination any time
REPLIES GO OUT FROM YOUR OLD ADDRESS. IF THAT MATTERS, YOU WANT A MAILBOX.
CITYBOY+ — a real mailbox
A full mailbox on the domain. It sends as well as receives, so the name on the outside of your mail is the one you chose.
- Send and receive as your CityBoy name
- IMAP and SMTP — use any mail app
- Webmail in the browser
- Aliases for signups and throwaways
- Storage that doesn't touch your other inbox
The things people actually ask
Will my mail end up in spam?
Forwarded mail is harder to deliver than direct mail — that is true of every forwarding service, not just ours, because forwarding breaks one of the checks receiving servers run. We run the standard mitigations (SPF, DKIM, DMARC and sender rewriting) to keep it landing properly. Mail from senders who have not configured their own authentication is the most likely to get filtered, and that is outside any forwarder’s control.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your paid mailbox reverts to forwarding. You keep the name. We do not hold your address hostage.
Can I move my name somewhere else later?
The name lives on our domain, so it cannot be transferred off it — the same way a Gmail address cannot leave Gmail. What you can do is export your mail at any time over IMAP.
Do you read my email?
No, and we do not scan it to target advertising. Automated filtering processes mail in transit for spam and malware — that is required to run a mail service, and the output is a spam score, not a profile. The longer, more precise version is on our privacy approach page, including the things we will not claim.
Who actually runs the mail server?
We do, on our own infrastructure. The architecture is deliberately built so the underlying provider can change without anything changing for you.
